Ovary should never be removed unless there is a special case.
Deceased Prof.Dr.Yalçın Eğeci, one of our great teachers, said “If there is a surgical operation, complications are inevitable”. That’s right indeed.
Eventually, it may need to be removed in consequence of complications. For example, in case of a vascular injury, etc.
But a gynecologist should be focused on always ending the operation by preserving the ovary when removing the dermoid cyst.
